1. Who this covers
Ollie(“Ollie”, “we”, “us”), of 2108 N St Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816-5712, United States, provides booking storefronts for rental and service businesses. This policy covers getollieapp.com, the Ollie dashboard and mobile app, and the storefronts we host (together, the “Service”). It explains what we collect and how we use it, for three kinds of people:
- Business owners: people who create an Ollie account and run a storefront. For your data, Ollie is the data controller.
- Customers of those businesses: people who visit a storefront, submit a request, message a business, sign a contract, or pay an invoice. We process your information on behalf of the business you dealt with; that business controls it. If you want your information corrected or deleted, contact the business first, we will help them honor the request.
- Visitors to getollieapp.com: people reading this site or booking a demo. Section 5 is the part that applies to you.
2. What we collect
- Account information: your email, business name, timezone, and business details you add (logo, contact info, service catalog, pricing, business hours). Passwords are handled by our authentication provider, Auth0; we do not store them.
- Storefront content: the text, images, and pages you publish. Your storefront is public by design.
- Booking requests: the details a customer submits: name, email, phone, requested dates, answers to the business’s form questions, and, where the business uses delivery pricing, the service address (which we geocode to compute distance).
- Messages: conversations between a business and its customers relayed through the Service by email or SMS are stored so both sides of the thread keep working, including photos a customer uploads at a business’s request.
- Payment records: invoices, amounts, and payment status. Card payments are processed by Stripe; card numbers never touch our servers. If a card is saved for future charges we store only its brand, last four digits, and expiration.
- Signed contracts: the contract text, the drawn signature, and an audit stamp (signer name, email, IP address, browser, and timestamp), kept as a tamper-resistant record for both parties.
- Visit attribution: when someone lands on a storefront we note, in that visitor’s browser session, where the visit came from (a referring site or campaign tag) so the business can see which channels bring in requests. This is not cross-site tracking.
- Demo bookings: if you book a demo, the name, email and notes you enter go to Cal.com, which runs the calendar, and to us, so we can hold the time and send the meeting link.
- Support email: what you write to us, kept so we can answer and follow up.
- Technical data: logs, IP addresses, and device information generated by using the Service, and a push-notification token if you enable notifications in the mobile app.
We collect only what each of these needs. We do not ask for, and please do not send us, sensitive information such as government ID numbers, health details or precise location.
3. How we use it
- To provide, secure, and improve the Service.
- To deliver the messaging the Service exists for: request confirmations, booking updates, invoices, contract signature requests, and replies between a business and its customer.
- To process payments and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To respond to support requests and legal obligations.
- To send business owners a short series of onboarding emails after sign-up, and occasional product news. Every one carries an unsubscribe link and our postal address, and the switch is also in Settings → Account. Emails the Service must send (a booking confirmation, an invoice, a password reset) are not affected.
- To understand how getollieapp.com is used and whether our advertising works, using the analytics tools in section 5, only with your consent.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use the contents of your storefront, messages, or customer records for advertising.
4. Service providers
We share data only with the providers that run the Service, each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us:
- Auth0 (Okta): sign-in and account security
- Stripe: payments and payouts
- Mailgun: sending and receiving email
- Twilio: sending and receiving SMS
- Google Maps: turning addresses into map coordinates
- Amazon Web Services: file storage and delivery
- Vercel and Railway: application hosting
- Expo: mobile push notifications
- Cal.com: the demo booking calendar
- Google (Analytics), PostHog and Meta (Pixel): analytics and advertising measurement on getollieapp.com, loaded only after you accept cookies; see section 5
- Slack: internal alerts to our own team (for example, that a new business signed up), so we can help new accounts
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of Ollie or others, or as part of a merger or acquisition (in which case this policy continues to apply to the transferred data).
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
getollieapp.comasks before setting any non-essential cookie. If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4 (visits and pages), PostHog (click and scroll heatmaps of the landing page, no session recordings) and the Meta Pixel (whether our Facebook and Instagram ads lead to sign-ups). Each provider receives your IP address and browser details and sets its own cookies. Decline and none of them load; you can change your answer from “Cookie settings” in the footer at any time. The full list, with lifetimes, is in our Cookie Policy. The site also keeps, in your browser session only, where your visit came from (a campaign tag or referring site) so that if you sign up we know which channel brought you; it holds no identifier and leaves your browser only if you create an account.
Global Privacy Control. If your browser sends the GPC signal we treat it as declining, load no analytics tags, and honor it as an opt-out of sale or sharing under California law. We do not respond to the older “Do Not Track” setting.
The Ollie dashboard uses only essential cookies, the ones that keep you signed in, and our own product analytics to see which features are used. Storefrontsset no cookies of ours; a storefront may run analytics tags (Google Analytics or Tag Manager) that its business owner has added, which are governed by that business’s own privacy practices, not this policy.
6. Retention and deletion
- We keep information for as long as the account it belongs to is active, or as needed to provide the Service.
- Deleting your Ollie account permanently removes your login identity at Auth0, your Stripe connection, your uploaded media, and your business records from our systems.
- Some records outlive deletion where the law or the record’s purpose requires it: payment and tax records, and signed contracts, which exist to be durable evidence for both parties.
7. Security
Data moves over encrypted connections, sign-in is handled by a dedicated authentication provider, payment credentials stay with Stripe, and access to production systems is restricted. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data we will notify you as required by law.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Business owners can exercise most of these directly in the dashboard (including full account deletion in Settings); for anything else, email support@getollieapp.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. Customers of a business should start with that business, since it controls their records. We never discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
California residents. In the past twelve months we have collected the categories listed in section 2 (identifiers, commercial information, internet activity, and, for signed contracts, an electronic signature) from you directly, from your browser, and from the providers in section 4. We do not sell personal information. Under California law, allowing the Meta Pixel to run on getollieapp.com may count as “sharing” for advertising measurement; it runs only if you accept cookies, and declining or sending a Global Privacy Control signal opts you out. You have the right to know what we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to opt out of sharing, and not to be treated differently for asking. Send requests to the email below; we may ask you to confirm the email address on the account before we act. An agent may act for you with your written permission.
European Economic Area, UK and Switzerland. Our legal basis is the contract with you for account and customer data, our legitimate interest in running and securing the Service for technical data, and your consent for analytics cookies and onboarding email. You may complain to your local data-protection authority.
9. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher minimum age where you live). We do not knowingly collect their information; if you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
We operate from the United States and our providers may store data there. If you use the Service from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes
We may update this policy as the Service evolves. If a change is material we will notify you by email or in the dashboard before it takes effect. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
